| Before the Vaccines |
We had our two-month-old check-up today with Dr. Klimisch. He is now 11lbs and 6oz (within the 40th percentile), 22 and 3/4 inches long (within the 20th percentile) and his head circumference is now 15 and 3/4 inches (within the 15th percentile).
He was also given 4 vaccines: the one for Hepatitis B, Polio, dTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertusis); Hib, to protect against Meningitis; Pneumococcal, to protect against severe bacterial infections, ear infections, and meningitis; Rotavirus (given by mouth), to guard against a common cause of severe diarrhea. He did not like the needles and even when he got home, he was still feeling the pain and was crying a lot.
