| What lies ahead for us this year? I wonder.. |
As the New Year comes, we are hopeful that 2012 will be a much better year than 2011.
The year that was 2011 was a good one for us but it had a lot of trials and difficulties, nonetheless. But we know better that things happen for a reason.
Early in the year, we had so much fun staying back home and we did not wish to come back to the States, at least not so soon (even after more than 4 months of vacation). Our wish was granted, and we missed our flight back and had to wait to get re-booked. This caused a lot of head aches for us, particularly, for Mommy because that delay created a whole host of immigration issues. But we look at it as a blessing in disguise. We know that if not for that, our baby would not have been conceived at that time. We would have returned to the States sooner and would likely have gotten too busy that would have made conceiving much more difficult. The immigration issues were resolved by middle of the year, thankfully.
Another thing was that since we were out for such a long time, we ran into (still having them) some financial difficulties. I was not able to get into a project right away and Mommy had to quit work because of the pregnancy. Money seemed more elusive in 2011, to say the least. But we're trying to take it lightly because we trust that we can get over this pretty soon. As they say, it's just like a wheel turning, sometimes you're on top and sometimes you're on the bottom. I guess it's time for us to be on the bottom. But all things considered, having Baby MIGS trumps all problems from my point of view. As long as everyone in the family is healthy and strong, we know we'll be alright. We'll get through anything.
There was so much to be thankful for and so much lessons to be learned in 2011. But there is even more to be hopeful for this 2012.
